Love homeschool science "Solar S'mores"

It's so HOT that we are making smores in the sunshine!  A fun science experiment that brings in weather & climate, cause & effect, observation skills and some fun summer time memories. Nothing like schooling year round, it doesn't even feel like school!

Try something fun with your child today.

Happy Summer.

  2. Cathy,
We found a box with flaps on the top, then placed aluminum foil on the inside of the box and on the flap, we secured it with Scotch tape. Then put the Smore's together and placed them in the box out in the sun. The angle of the box flap needs to be just right, ours kept trying to flop over so we used a brick behind it to hold it up. That way the Smore is getting direct heat and then the heat is bounced up to the flap and back down again. Yes, I know my description is very scientific...LOL. Let us know how it works out of you.
    Thanks for stopping by.
