Homeschool Field Trip Day

Had a wonderful homeschool field trip. Thought at first it might be a bust, too many people showed up to see the eagle and we could not get into the auditorium to see the show. But later we were invited in for a short talk and a private viewing of the Bald Eagle and the Golden Eagle. We were able to get up close, it was pretty cool to say the least!
This was a lesson taught and learned about how sometimes we think life is a bust, but there is more to it than that. Sometimes we think we know what we need, but God has other plans for us.

Notice the smooth head on the top picture.

Notice the ruffled feathers on the top of his head now. They were standing straight up, (like spiked hair) but I could not get the camera to focus quickly enough. I am hoping another mom got a good picture and I will share that if she did.

This guy is about 5 years old and is blind in one eye.

Look at those feet!! WOW!

Getting ready for flight.

Major wing span here.

Flying feet up close, those are HUGE!!

Tomorrow I will share the pictures of the Golden Eagle, he is missing a wing, but he is still ever so awesome and powerful looking!

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Makin' Space

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!  We are making space and using up food. It's so fun to go shopping from the pantry. I found some cans of fruit hidden in the back and 2 more can of Lentil soup (my guys fell in love with this, got it for .25¢ a can at the Amish Salvage store).

I've still got about 15 cans of beef broth (not gluten free) that I need to use up. Any ideas of what I can make my guys? They like soup, but then they also like crackers in soup and those have bad oils in them, so they are a no no for my husband.

Scrapbooker and stampers check this out!

Our local scrapbook store bought out a store going out of business and they were selling paper racks, I bought one and LOVE IT!!  I highly recommend getting one, they are so nice to stay organized. I had my paper just stacked in drawers and could never find what I needed.

Now I just need to figure out how to label each row? Any ideas? I think sticky notes would fall off, maybe address labels folded over? What do ya think?
