2 new baby chicks

These are 9 days old. Very cute and VERY NOISY, these two don't sleep much at all.

Check out this Monthly Menu Plan file

I love this website http://heartofwisdom.com/, I do not use the homeschool materials on the site, but there is a wealth of info and free printable items on the site.
http://heartofwisdom.com/images/monthlymenuplan.pdf This menus planner is great, she has some that are filled out too. I like the blank one, I laminated it and fill it out. Planning menus really helps with the food budget.
How do you plan your meals?
Have a great week!

Scrapbooking and Rubber Stamping Retreat

I will post some pics this week of all the fun stuff I made.
We had yummy food as usual! Friday night was pork roast, bake potato, salad and very cute cupcakes, here is a picture of the cupcakes. Well guess there is no way to flip this picture? lol. Please note that I am really new to blogging, this picture is saved right side up, but it's on here sideways?
Our theme was “What’s the buzz!” – Psalms 46:10. So the cupcakes have beehives on them along with buzzing bees. They were YUMMY!
For breakfast we had eggs, bacon, homemade cinnamon rolls and fruit. For lunch there were different kinds of lasagna, garlic bread, salad and dessert.
Had a fun time!

Cold Chicken

We had a little late night emergency, 'cold chicken'  lol.
Love the little Silver Laced Wyandotte (the black one) with it's behind sticking out.......lol, I think he is saying "Let me in under there!" And then the little brown Golden Comet peeking out from under the "Xtra Crispy" the momma hen. Poor Xtra Crispy had her wings spread out and was trying to keep 13 baby chicks warm under her. Needless to say, everyone is awake at our house now and the chickens are moved back inside.
